Cheats GTA Vice City and GTA III

In gta you can not enter new cars but are changed there.

The cars are made up mostly of two files, one is the xxxxx.dff (model "physical" car) and the other is the xxxxx.txd (texture) (plus a read me which is the configuration) when you change a car you have to change both files. Additionally, others include a file number, the xxxxx.col (collisions) this is not necessary to change it but if you do need the "col editor."

The configuration of the car is in three files you have to open a text editor such as Notepad. These files are in the folder "data" and are carcolors (for color), default.ide (for the scale of the wheels) and handling (for all settings of the car, ie weight, speed, acceleration, braking, etc)

Read-only mode on or off the fence to change files or folders simply "models" and "data."

You need to have installed (apart from the GTA of course):

Img editor (gta3.img to open the file in the folder "models" and that includes all files in the game both of cars as characters and animations) I recommend making a backup folder "models" and "data" which are those that include data that are changed.

GTAVice car editor to change the parameters of the cars to enter (when you enter and is changing but maybe you do not like the weight, speed, acceleration etc that established the operator of the car).

GTAtexter to rename the newly introduced car and then you appear at the time you step on. With this program you can also change other text of the game such as dialogues, names of places and characters etc. Make a backup of the folder "Text" for this program.

DMagic1WheelMod v3 to change the wheels on the model default.ide file if you install it you will not cars.

After this introduction we can start. INSTALLATION OF A CAR.

1 ° The first thing (other than unzip the zip car of course) is to run the img ed.

2 ° Now you're in the img and give a file-open and look for the gta3.img of which you speak before, you'll have in the "models" of the game directory. Remember make a backup.

3 º If all goes well you'll see a long list of everything that contains the file. If you can not open check is not in "read only".

4 º Now find the car you want to change eg cheetah (for rapid search 1as words you can type the name and it will lead you automatically)

5 ° When have you change the name (press f2 or action-rename) the two files from that drive (remember dff and txd) and the other ie CheetahOLD.txd CheetahOLD.dff

6 º Now add the 2 files (dff and txd repeat) of the car you downloaded. If the car you downloaded the files have different name (because the author believes it is appropriate to change it) change it without problem, but put the exact name that had the serial number (within img)

7 The first step has been taken. Now is the time to look at the readme file of the car. In the 3 lines of text you'll find:
1 - with numbers separated by commas, this is what you have to copy and paste on the car have carcolors file (you can also see the list of colors found in the file above and put you as you want )
2 - one with the name of the car (which gave him perhaps the author is not what you're interested) and at the end of the line that you'll find 2 numbers. One will be 249 (indicating the wheel model in GTA 3 is 089) [you must install the DMagic1WheelMod v3] and then another figure in decimals (eg 0.8) indicating the size of the wheel. Now copy the two numbers and replace them with the series having the car are changing.
3 - the third (do not have to appear in this order) is the handling of it is the configuration of the car (weight, speed, acceleration, etc.) copy and substitúyela in file handling. If you do not like some detail that the author has put the car in this line remember that you can configure it to GTA Vice car editor.

8 ° At this point you can look in the game to check if everything went well. But I do recommend that before this step. Now change the name of the car (that which appears just when you enter) for it gtatexter run and load the file for your language (Spanish bone) inside the folder "text." Arming of patience looking for the name on the list and in the right window will in the name of the game (can not be the same ie Baggage [filename of the car] - porter [name that appears when you ride]) and and can put the name you want (assuming that the real car to change).

9 º Now you have to look if it was good (if you did before now put the name in the car). Get in the game and go to an area usually appears that car (cars are displayed on all sites in the city but not others) and wait to see your brand new "convertible" (or whatever it may be a truck .) A trick you can do is keep in a garage before changing cars. Oh and if suddenly while waiting for the game work is making a noise that got the car wrong.

10 ° is important not to skip this step. Once satisfied that everything was fine (means the car is gone and you are not locking the game, you roze on the ground or fence very slow, that you can change it later on the car editor) when satisfied enters imgeditor and delete the original files of the car, if those to which we changed the name (if you think you are good you can delete them directly in Step 5 but if the "shit" then you better have a backup gta3.img .) I recommend you put names (the last part I mean) that look good on the list as OLD, 2, etc.

I ask because you have to delete it. Because in the file gta3.img not catch more than a limited number of files (do not know how but I at first did not delete them, and a day and could not put more files) So you do not you put all the cars you want just by changing the name, but then you have to delete the originals to which it changed.

We also ask that we change the name. But so, if that does not convince you the car you just put return to the standard deleting the 2 files again and rename the original. Apart from that if you change the file name and enter the new car, there would be four files (2 txd dff and 2) for the same car with which you do not go and you trabaría the game.

After these little lessons you'll know to change the cars to make a GTA for you.
